The centenary celebration of Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS) marked a historic milestone in the institution's journey, showcasing a rich legacy of Technical education, character building, and community service. The events, held on 9th,10th, and 11th November 2023
- The morning of 30th January was dedicated to the celebration of the feast of Don Bosco alongside an
insightful awareness program. The day commenced with a session on “Placement/Job Ethics”, where students delved into the intricacies of professional conduct and ethical practices in the workplace. Led by industry experts and educators, this integration provided invaluable guidance to students preparing to enter the workforce.
19th January 2024:
DBTS, Shillong: The Winter Camp Free Training at Don Bosco Technical School concluded with a heartwarming farewell and certification ceremony, leaving Trainees with lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment.
27 March 2024: The retreat aimed to facilitate a renewal of spiritual fervor and commitment among the participants, enabling them to approach the Easter season with greater depth and devotion. By bringing together staff members from different Catholic institutions, the retreat fostered a sense of community and solidarity, strengthening bonds of faith and friendship.
Don Bosco Technical School commemorated the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker with a week-long celebration of sportsmanship, talent and camaraderie through the ‘St. Joseph Interdepartmental Tournament Week. The event, spanning from 24th April 2024 to 1st May 2024, witnessed an array of activities and games, fostering a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere within the school community.
1st May 2024: The week-long celebration culminated with a Holy Mass and a closing ceremony at Don Bosco Hall. The program featured a blend of spiritual and celebratory elements, including Bible reading, prayers, speeches, performances, and prize distribution. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants.
31st May 2024: A farewell program was organized to bid farewell to Principal Fr. Arcadius Puwein on the 31st of May 2024 at the AV Hall, starting at 2:30 PM.
27th May 2024: Warm Welcome Extended to Fr. Shiningstar Dkhar, New Principal of Don Bosco Technical School. The welcoming ceremony took place on the 27th of May 2024 during our assembly session at the AV hall. The event was a momentous occasion where Fr. Shiningstar Dkhar was warmly greeted by the staff, students, and the entire school community. It marked the beginning of a new chapter for our institution under his esteemed leadership.
5th June 2024: Don Bosco Technical School organized a drawing competition to commemorate World Environment Day on June 5th, 2024. The event took place at 12:30 PM in Study Hall 1 and focused on the theme of "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience." The trainees from various departments enthusiastically participated the competition.
